Promoting One Of The World’s Most Livable Cities: Melbourne, Australia

Originally tasked with promoting Melbourne during the 2006 Commonwealth Games, we evolved our role into positioning the city - and wider State of Victoria - as a leading business and skilled migration destination.

Working with the State of Victoria’s Agent General in London, we focused on promoting business sectors for inward investment and international trade, including aerospace, renewable energy, fashion and food and drink. We delivered bespoke press trips to Melbourne, trade show strategies and targeted PR and media feature placement in the UK national press.

We were also asked to support the State’s skilled migration programme, promoting Melbourne as a location of choice for those with ‘in demand’ trade skills. And we supported the team’s UK promotion “G’Day UK” in London.

Prowse was also asked to help promote Melbourne’s business tourism and conference facilities including the world’s first 6* Convention Centre.

Over eight years, our work generated major UK press coverage in The Times, Mail on Sunday, Independent on Sunday, and New Scientist—firmly keeping Melbourne on the map.
