Cheers to the Wealden Wine Trail!

With its rolling hills, rural charm and a fast-growing reputation for award-winning wines, Sussex Winelands are ripe for discovery. Seeking to boost tourism and support local producers, Wealden District Council asked Jo to help bring a new food or drinks trail to life to give visitors a compelling reason to explore the area and stay longer.

Working closely with twelve local wine estates, she developed a new Wealden Wine Trail — a curated journey celebrating the diversity of English wine experiences, from tastings and behind-the-scenes tours to vineyard walks and farm-to-glass dining.

The trail was bought to life through rich storytelling and collaborative branding, setting up a dedicated Instagram account to spotlight producers and share real-time content that engaged both tourists and locals. To maximise reach, Jo also designed and delivered a full marketing and PR strategy, anchored by a virtual tasting event hosted by Oz Clarke during English Wine Week 2024.

The result was a vibrant campaign that did more than attract visitors - it has fostered pride, partnerships and visibility for Wealden’s wine scene whilst supporting the growth of local businesses.
