For more than a decade between 2010-2021, Jo served as a trusted ‘European Beachheads Advisor’ to the New Zealand Government, helping Kiwi companies to expand internationally in European markets.

Through strategic guidance on market entry plans, marketing, branding, social media and crisis management, Joanne mentored a wide range of entrepreneurs and SMEs.

From pioneering med-tech companies and innovative tech firms to food and drink exporters, Jo guided, coached and advised a wide range of leadership teams. She featured in NZTE’s video series *Succeeding in Europe*, offering vital business insights to New Zealand exporters.

Jo was also asked to support the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise team across Europe by providing staff mentoring and facilitating workshops during the pandemic. Some of these individuals have gone on to take up international trade diplomacy roles.
