Prowse with Women's Enterprise International Womens' Day

Portfolio

Our integrated campaign championed women’s enterprise and raised awareness of its contribution to the economy.

It's a Girl Thing

For the past four years, Prowse has delivered Women’s Enterprise programmes on behalf of the South East England Development Agency. Reinforcing our own belief of the need for greater representation of women within the workplace and business media outlets, we created a business network, bringing together more than 160 women entrepreneurs and policy makers.

Working closely with the client team, we undertook research on a number of topics and produced more than 30 case-studies of successful women entrepreneurs for media and website placement.

Our PR programme capitalised upon opportunities around Women’s Enterprise Day and International Women’s Day achieving coverage in the Financial Times, the Daily Telegraph, GMTV Magazine, numerous regional media articles and a week-long BBC Radio promotion.

Not content, we also sought to inspire the next generation by arranging for the Ambassadors to speak in schools and colleges across the region. Support was provided, including a series of training workshops to facilitate effective advocacy, communication and media skills.

Overall, our activities made a significant contribution towards helping the RDA to achieve its target of gaining 10,000 new women-owned businesses across the region.
